KEO ROMCHANG BEATEN FOR THIRD TIME BY VONG NAY

KEO ROMCHANG BEATEN FOR THIRD TIME BY VONG NAY

This is – once again – for the third time in a row, the intrepid legend in Kun Khmer Keo Romchang is beaten, though not KOed as in the second round as their second previous dual fight, by his taller-height and longer-reach opponent Vong Nay after a five-full three-minute-round bout Friday April 4,2014 afternoon. He did feel a more bitter and shameful loss.

Romchang, immediately after the fight, with a radiant smile, raised both his hands in hope to hear the results declared in his favor. He seemingly thought that his newly chosen tactics of moving and leaping backward about the ring to avoid Vong Nay’s punches, elbows and knees would save him from the loss.
Though he managed – to speak frankly – the KO fate as he had tasted in the second round of the previous bout, he clearly could not enjoy what the American world boxing title holder Timothy Bradley did in his fight with Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines in the United States, last year. Timothy used the same tactics as Romchang’s to skip the KO, but was announced victorious. The match drew criticism around the world. Pacquiao was seen as having his belt unfairly lost to Bradley.

But as the attendance and TV viewers saw throughout the five-round bout here, Vong Nay gained all grounds throughout and was the master of the whole match.

As the result announced, Vong Nay was the winner by the three judges’ unanimous decision. And Romchang, thus lost his belt to his opponent, Vong Nay.
